For decades and beyond, Self care is a word that was barely uttered from ones mouth. Self care is often replaced with the word 'selfish' when one has gotten to breaking point. There is no such thing as selfish as breathing air or eating food so why would self care be any different?
Self care can vary to what one needsL a bubble bath, a facial, a hair mask, counselling, etc.
If one needs some alone time, and nurturing then there 'self care' alarm bells were going off a while ago. Often we bypass our alarm bells and think that perseverance is what is best.
Then we feel the burn. We stop and need some 'therapy' its often retail therapy, a glass of wine or two, a night out, another takeaway. Let stop and listen to our mind and body before the third takeaway that week, arrives. What do I need?
Is self care an alien concept? this is usually the case. Caring for oneself is often missed when rushing around trying to keep up with daily life. Start today, start asking yourself, what do I need...what do I want... alone time? A soak in the tub? A face mask? a Hair mask, A manicure?
Non of these are the wrong answer, if you'r thinking it, you most likely need it.
Start caring for yourself. Lovethyself. Every single day.
